Post #4 in a week of breaking in a cast iron griddle on a Weber grill! Smash burgers are one of the classic reasons that griddles are awesome!
The griddle was preheated for 15 minutes on Medium/High heat. You are going to want everything close at hand because everything goes pretty quick once you get started.
Start by grilling up a bunch of bacon.
Then grill up a bunch of mushrooms seasoned with salt and pepper.
Add a couple of 1/3 pound smashed burger patties (salt and pepper) and grill for three minutes per side.
After you flip the burgers start toasting the buns. I went with a pretzel roll for this burger.
Add the mushrooms and bacon to the burgers.
Then melt some cheese onto this beast.
Slather up the bun with mayo and mustard. I am a big fan of Mr Mustard..have been since I was a kid.
Stack those patties together, add them to the pretzel bun and dig in!
I cut this guy in half and shared it with my son. I think that counts as Quality Time.
